What I study

Research

The first stream of my research examines how the social contexts in which CEOs are embedded—such as their places of residence and relationships with employees—shape important organizational decisions and outcomes, including employee wages, product innovativeness, and firm performance.

The second stream focuses on gender composition in executive and leadership teams, including corporate boards and teams of Hollywood film producers. Specifically, I investigate how team composition affects the career outcomes of male and female members and how gender-diverse boards are associated with firm performance.
